The Middle Reads Collection

As readers grow, the Elizabeth Taber Library aims to grow with them. The middle reads collection is designed for readers in the middle – looking for more complex books that are relevant to their lives. The chapter books and graphic novels in this section are best for readers in grades 5-7, but anyone can browse and use the middle reads collection. Often middle reads serves as a bridge between children’s materials and the young adult section. This collection is located in the middle of the library.

Tween Takeover

Join us on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month after school for Tween Takeover. This program, designed especially for kids in grades 5-7, includes snacks, more complex crafts and activities, and chill music. Come hang out and create

All library programs are designed to be developmentally appropriate for various age groups – we indicate recommended ages on our flyers and event calendar. Kids in the middle reads age group (grades 5-7) are invited to join us for kids OR young adult programs.

Homework Help

The library offers a variety of e-resources, some of which are great choices for research and homework help.
